Any Razer Black Widow users out there?

I recently discovered the Razer BlackWidow Stealth Edition and noticed something extremely strange. All of the diagrams of the switches used seem to show NMB Space Invader switches, not Cherry MX!

Source: What are mechanical keyboards? | Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition | Razer™ | For Gamers. By Gamers.™

This is completely weird to me, although I can't see anywhere on the webiste saying they are using Cherry MX I always thought they are using them. What is even stranger is that the diagrams for the BlackWidow expert shows the use of NMB Space Invader switches too! I was 100% sure that BW used MX blues, but now considering the diagram I am not 100% sure (actually the Razer online store says they use MX Blues, however the store page for the Stealth just says "mechanical switches").

It'd be great if someone could confirm either way which kind of switches Razer is using!

All Razer mechanical keyboards feature Cherry MX switches. The diagram on the left illustrates the Cherry MX Black switch which has an actuation force of 60g (80g overall), and is a linear switch meaning it has no tactile feedback. The diagram on the right illustrates the Cherry MX Brown switch, which is what the Razer Black Widow Stealth utilizes. It switches have an actuation force of 45g (55g peak). The reason this board is dubbed "stealth" is for the simple fact they switched from the Cherry MX Blues used in their other boards that produced that loud "clicky" sound as you depress the switch.

with the cherry browns (any cherry) you can silence them somewhat with O-rings as I did it helped quite a bit and it also lowers the travel of key switch so you can use less force I used A50 which are harder and A40s will quite them even more

Yes, also I can confirm that the Blackwidow standard edition uses Cherry MX Blues.

I couldn't see anything on the Razer site saying that the stealth used browns, and I don't see anything on the OCN thread even mentioning the BWStealth.

What I do see is the diagram CLEARLY using NMB Space Invaders.

Are you telling me the switches in the diagram are Cherry MX? O_O

This is why I am asking for clarification from someone who actually owns one.

i hated my ultimate, uses the same switches, just blue LED,
it just was annoying to have that stupid tactile feedback, maybe you'd get used to it but i hated it, made mechanical keyboards loader than they already are.

You mean auditory feedback? Both MX Browns and MX Blues have tactile feedback (the bump when pushing down the key), but the blues have the addition of auditory feedback, which is what produces the loud click.
