    560ti Twin Frozr II Overclock

Just wondering what you guys have seen people push this too. Looking to do some minor overclocking to help out in games.

have you got a 560ti? f so i'd suggest getting after burner, it won't do your card dammage as it should stay really cool,
just up the Mhz on the core by increments of 10, i usually just 100mhz to start as thats usually fine, then go 10 up each time until it freezes, then dial it back until i can do torture tests find (furmark works well) also i have BF3 in windowd mode running so i can see artifacts on the fly,

just keep an eye on the temp, if you really want to push it you can up the voltage, it will reduce the lifespan of your card, and you will onloy get maybe 30-60mhz more..

if you don't mind overclocking on a software just set it to auto put that clock on when you startup, otherwise you'd have to flash the card, (gets more complicated and go look for guides otherplaces)

Wow those 560Ti TF cards are really good. I'm actually a really big fan of MSI graphics/mobos. Wonder why they aren't as popular as ASUS.

MSI GPU are some of the best the motherboards are not ...to many go up in smoke or bust a cap when you push voltage

Hmm... interesting... first I've heard of that especially after MSI's military class component lineup they've been pushing lately. You're not thinking of Gigabyte are you? I remember they recently had motherboards catch on fire and had to issue a firmware update which (last I heard) lowered the OC capability of the boards. I was going to actually buy one of those UD3's until that happened haha.

In my experience, other than their UEFI implementation, which I don't find as strong as say ASUS or even ASRock, I think MSI boards are top notch. TBH, I wasn't a fan of MSI boards until early last year when I actually bit the bullet and bought a P67A-GD65 since ASUS and Gigabyte P67 B3 boards were out of stock. Gotta say I came out very impressed. Rock solid, fairly competitive pricing, and a great overclocker. I recommend their boards all the time now. Can't say anything about pushing voltages up super high since I don't have my setup on LN2 or even water for that matter, but AFAIK MSI holds one of the biggest annual worldwide overclocking competitions every year.

nope I couldn't tell you the people had or having issues with MSI boards and smoking they don't OC as well with out more voltage
the voltage regulation is really lacking.

one reason you never see WR on MSI boards, at 1 time I liked MSI boards but after using Asus - Gigabyte Ill never buy another the Z77 line is really having issues with heat IE temp of 85C / Temp 95°c / 75-100 °C / all 3 of those are board temps not CPU- for instance my board temps are 33.4c
What voltage is it taking to get your CPU 4.5ghz?

the GPUs on the other hand are only bested by EVGA

Actually, I received a press release just a couple months ago about the Xpower II and GD65 setting an X79 WR. Not sure if they still hold it but MSI was sure proud of it. Then again, I've gotten press releases from Gigabyte and ASRock too so I don't really keep track. Haven't got anything for Z77 though... maybe from ASRock, but I'm not sure.

    I have my turbos stacked ATM... 1 core 4.6ghz, 2 core 4.5, 3 core 4.4, 4 core 4.3. It's taking 1.296v to hit 4.3GHz (via AIDA64 stress test), but I'm using an i7 2600K.

I couldn't care what GPU i get, aslong as it has the chip i need, and good quite cooling, EVGA rarly makes a cutom cooler ad sticks to the reference, why i never liked them.
